First time trip to Tijuana

I’ll be in Tijuana Monday - Friday for the first time.  I was married almost 20 years.  I’m actually flying into TJ airport and staying the week at Ticuan.  I know much about telegram or whatsapp but I have them both.  Any advice or contacts would be appreciated.

Flying into the TJ Airport? From? I think there are only a couple of TJ-USA flights - Phoenix on American and now Volaris will start Vegas flights.

Advice?

• Don't carry anything you can't afford to lose.
• Dollars accepted everywhere and good to have lots of singles for tipping
• Yes, check out the Zona Norte - gringo spots are Hong Kong, Tropical Bar and Chicago. Rest of the bars more for locals
• Don't stray from Calle Coahuilla or the Alley. Back and side alleys are not your friend.
• Any Mexican that comes up to you speaking fluent English offered to get you whatever you need most likely a deportee. Avoid.
• Don't walk around 0n your phone in the ZN. Rateros can run by and snatch your phone
• For better service, book some escorts from well-established agencies like Mexico Lindo Bar
• Remember to never pay a bar girl in advance of service in the room
• With street girls, negotiate what you want in advance -like sin ropa, multiple positions, BBBJ, etc.
• Use only Bank ATM's - avoid private ATM's. Banorte ATM in front of Las Plugas on Revo ar0und the corner of your hotel
• Free breakfast buffet at the Ticuan is shit. Go sit in the restaurant and order off the menu for better food, selection.
• If TJ cops stop you and want to frisk you and empty your pockets, hold your money in your hand. Keep valuable shit in the safe in your hotel room
• Nothing good happens after midnight. You don't want to be drunk and stupid in TJ...
• If you have time in the day, take an Uber or collectivo to Playas and get some mariscos. Forget about swimming in the ocean there. Polluted as fuck.

For a first time visitor, I don't recommend WhatsApp/Telegram chicas.  If you want to have a chica in your room at the Ticuan, order in from Mexico Lindo Bar or CuminTJ - one of the established agencies around town.  We have a section on escort chicas and agencies here: https://www.tijuanatalk.net/forum/144-escort-chicas/

Dollars are accepted everywhere you'll be - if you're dying to get some pesos, then get maybe 500p in small bills for tacos, etc.  But really dollars are easier unless you're familiar with conversion rates, etc.  For a second or third trip, you can get into pesos.

Speaking of dollars and money, COUNT YOUR CHANGE always in every bar - even the locals do it - and let them know if you're short!  usually, they "dropped" a bill accidentally.  Also, carry small bills - fives and ones for taxis (Uber also works well down here) and for things like tacos.  20s are good for arribas.  You can use your credit card at Ticuan and nice restaurants around Tijuana but I don't recommend using one anywhere in Zona Norte.  If you need an ATM, go up to the ones on 4th between Revolucion and Constitution.  There are two there.  They dispense pesos though.  Don't carry your whole bankroll with you other than when crossing the border.  Use the safe in your room and take out enough for an arriba or two plus drinks.

Chicas from the club and from the alley (street girls) will not come back to your room at Ticuan.  You will need a short-time room in Zona - some guys like to keep their nice room at Ticuan and then get an overnight room at Cascadas or Rizo for banging HK and Tropical chicas.  Read up on the VIP card from both places as it can save you a few bucks if you're in town on Mon/Tues.

Tijuana also has a slew of "love motels" which are rented generally in 4 hour blocks.  MOst escort chicas will go to them and they are private and secure.  La Mansion is probaly my favorite due to convenient location and access to the border.  It's not far from Ticuan. Last time I checkled it was about $41 for a 4 hour stay.

Normally the 4-Hour increments are only on weekends as people stay overnight quite often during the week and the $41 is only $1 more than it was and the late 1990's.

Do not carry your whole wad with you.  Only carry what you're going to spend and what you're willing to lose.  The most I ever carry in cash is $100.  The rest is in my room where I'll be banging and paying my ladies.

Remember that you are there to relax and have a good time.  That's why it is important to keep it real simple until you have the basics down.  Keep your money secure, don't use a bank card in the zona, concentrate on Honk Kong, Tropical, and Chicago, cab it in and out.  I don't know your drinking habits, but I would generally recommend keeping it to light beer (Tecate Light is a good one) and perhaps even alternating one beer with one water.  I think it is wise policy to not get too drunk, though I generally got completely shit-faced every time.  But to return to my main point, remember that you are there to relax and have fun.  The great likelihood is that you will eventually have at least a couple incredible experiences with truly beautiful women if you let that happen.  But you have to allow for the possibility of a not-so-great experience.  Don't let that put you off, it's all just a part of learning.  Just smile and pay, and go on to the next one.

The women are there to be enjoyed, and I don't mean that in a perverted or crass way.  So it's okay to be free with your hands and to have a libertine attitude, that's what this is all about.  But always remember that these ladies have just as many feelings and just as much dignity and self-respect as women anywhere.  It's not a good mongering strategy to forget this and overly commodify the girls, if only because it leads to worse experiences.  Even though this is pay for play, any attempt to be kind, funny, and to treat the chica like a lady will be appreciated and generally result in much better experiences in the room.

IMO, five days in Tijuana is a lot when you are alone especially if you don't speak Spanish. It is pretty easy to hop across back to San Diego and spend a day checking out the sites there to give yourself a bit of a break.

As Reuben said, you definitely need to check out Hong Kong. The first time parting the red curtain is not something you will forget.
